Our Story
Meet Verlyn and Lisa Fast.
Welcome! We are Verlyn and Lisa Fast, owners of Gathering Acres Event Center. We wanted to share a little about who we are and our story.
We have been married since January 14, 1986 and are the parents of four grown, married kids. Two of our kids live in Lafayette and are involved in various ways with the Event Center. Our oldest son lives in Crown Point, IN with his family and his wife is one of our favorite photographers! Our youngest lives in Tampa, FL with her family and created our website. We also have ten beautiful little grandchildren!
Lisa has loved decorating, making invitations, programs, etc. for all of her kids weddings and receptions. She has been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator since 1996 and loves making table favors, invitations, and large paper flowers for weddings and events. Lisa also has wedding coordinator experience and loves to meet with the couples and make their dream decor come to life! She also loves to coordinate the big day to make everything run smoothly! We live directly on the property, and are there for any questions, issues or anything that might arise. Verlyn and Lisa have been self employed entrepreneurs their entire marriage and are so excited for this next journey together!
With all of our children getting married and helping in any way we could with the planning of those events, our love for wedding planning was born. Now we get to continue planning weddings (and many other types of events!) for a living right next to home and love the opportunity to do so.
Whether it's a wedding, anniversary celebration, birthday party, Quincenera, corporate party or meeting, or any other type of event, we can't wait to help you celebrate! Here at Gathering Acres we want to make your event as enjoyable and memorable as possible.
